'06 Nissan 350Z

This particular customer was looking for a bit more punch out of his 350Z, but didn't want to go too crazy. He suggested nitrous, so we went with it. I suggested that we install some test pipes as well as a full exhaust and intake. While we were at it, we also put on a new set of DBA rear rotors. The old ones were in bad shape. Going fast is one thing, but you need to be able to stop too...

Project Scope
1. Strup test pipes
2. Greddy EVO exhaust
3. Injen intake
4. Zex wet nitrous kit

The ZEX import wet nitrous kit was very nicely engineered and complete. This makes installation very straight-forward.

The ZEX control module (valve block) was easy to mount right on the firewall.

We installed the nitrous/fuel nozzle on the air intake pipe underneath for a nice clean look.

I put the arming switch in the empty slot on the lower left dash panel. It's easy to reach and also looks good there.

We thought that this was an appropriate spot for the 10lb Nitrous bottle. It's ergonomic to unstrap it for filling without having to reach in too far. The valve can also be reached from inside the cockpit. An optional remote bottle opener is also available.

The ZEX wet nitrous kit overall is quite affordable, and relatively easy to install. The whole process will require about 5 hours labor. We configured this kit for a 50 shot. The kit works only at wide open throttle. The nitrous control valve is programmed for this car's throttle position switch to ensure that it is only active at W.O.T. and if the arming switch is turned on. The car definitely came alive. I test drove it after installing the kit, and the car feels very fast. The customer was also very pleased with the outcome. All the parts used in this project are available at Speed Industry and can be installed by our professional staff. Contact us for details.
